In New Mexico our weather can become dark and brooding, and the size
of the parts of our landscape is so great that cliffs and valleys can
interact with the clouds. Here, the setting sun hits part of the
Sandia cliffs as a foehn wind from the east rolls a low cloud over the
valley.
