New Mexico rain, especially in the summer, does not fall on the just
and the unjust alike. It falls in small, intense showers with clear
air between, and many a rancher can be heard discussing the injustice
of it as he watches his neighbor's pasture across the road turn green
while his looks like it did in December. Here is a typical shower with
the light shining through it as if through a veil.
