La Luz Trail is a footpath that leads from the parks on the west side
of the Sandia Mountains up to the crest. In late summer it is common
for thunderstorms to arise from an east wind striking the crest and
being deflected upward. This is a view up La Luz Trail at about noon
on such a day.
