New Moon and Red Twilight. 30 x 48.

The sky does not turn this bright a red at twilight all the time.
When Mount Saint Helens erupted and sent volcanic ash into the
stratosphere, however, we had many such twilights the next fall. We
are looking west across the Rio Grande from the base of the Sandia
Mountains.
