When I first met Steve VerHelst, he had broken his neck and was in a
"halo" after ejecting from an A-7. Having survived it well, here he
is taxing out for a mission on a sunny morning with the Sandia
Mountains in the background. A perfect day to fly over to Melrose and
spend a little ordnance.
