Growing Storm East near the Texas Line. 24 x 48.
During most of the summer the atmosphere that covers New Mexico is
very dry, but out near the Texas border on the east side they
frequently have a wind from the south that brings moisture off the
Gulf of Mexico. Starting in spring big cumulus clouds tend to spring
up along this "dry line" where they stand yellow and pink on the
eastern horizon at sun down. Many times out on the Llano Estacado you
can see the lightning from them flickering at night.
