November Cottonwoods at Algodones. 16 x 16.
I remember these cottonwoods from when they were small twigs growing
along the west side of State Road 22 north of Albuquerque. Of course,
that road is now Interstate 25, and the cottonwoods have grown to
respectable size, although they have caused me worry over the years
because in the summertime their leaves do not get green enough, as if
they are short on iron. We stopped and painted them this fall; I am
still worried about them.
