Field Study: The Atlantic, Coco Beach, 12 x 18

We were at the first launch of the Space Shuttle and it was delayed
two days. So I went down to the beach to paint. The first thing I
saw was a dazzling bright beach, but the ocean, unlike the Pacific,
was gray and greenish brown instead of blue. They say it turns blue
off shore where the Gulf Stream blows north. 4-1981
