Field Study: The Surf at Monterey, 12 x 16

The sky was a clear blue with a lighter pink haze on the horizon. In
the haze, the north end of the bay up around Watsonville could barely
be seen. The waves raked the beach sideways as they came past the
point. The almost parallel reflection of the wavelets in the
foreground picked up the pink at the horizon and gave the sea purple
accents. 11-1986
