Field Study: Rood Creek, Georgia, 12 x 19

Rood Creek joins the Chattahoochee south of Columbus. It was October
and the leaves were turning, but the weather was still dry and hot.
The forest was a mixture of conifers and deciduous trees. For a
desert rat, it seemed like paradise. I set up the easel on a floating
pier and painted in all directions. In this case, we are looking west
and the Alabama shore is on the horizon. 10-1985
