When nature puts on a light show, the variation between light and dark
goes far beyond white and black paint. So in this case I chose to use
my purest white for the light and take the progression of colors on
darker, all the way to true black to show how dramatic the scene is.
This is really the way we see the setting sun. Next time you see this
occur, notice how black the ground looks, then put your hand over the
source of light and see how all of a sudden the ground becomes a
neutral gray with a great deal of detail.
